Check Device Validity

1. Visit rdservice.in and open the Check Validity page.
2. Enter your Transaction ID — found in your order confirmation email or SMS.
3. Enter your registered Email Address used at the time of purchase.
4. Click Check Status to see activation date, expiry, and device details.

Keeping your RD Service active is mandatory under UIDAI regulations — only certified, active devices can be used for Aadhaar authentication, eKYC, AEPS, Jeevan Pramaan, and DBT services.

An expired RD Service will cause your device to fail authentication checks, disrupting banking, government, and payment operations. Regular checks let you renew proactively before expiry to avoid any service interruption.

UIDAI mandates all Aadhaar Authentication Ecosystem partners use L1 Registered Devices — capacitive fingerprint scanners that process and encrypt biometric data within a secure hardware zone, never transmitting raw biometric data to the host machine.

L1 devices offer significantly higher accuracy, fraud resistance, and processing speed compared to older L0 devices. As of December 31, 2024, L0 devices are no longer permitted for Aadhaar authentication, eKYC, or AEPS transactions.
